USABILITY AND APPEARANCE
An expensive device starts with sturdy packaging. Huawei Mate50 Pro is packaged in a box with an elegant black design that is typical of this price range, with gold embossing. As a standard, it comes with a charger with an output power of about 66 W, a connector cable, and a protective cover. The appearance of the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is attractive and elegant. Huawei Mate 50 Pro is elegant and beautiful. The designers didn’t shy away from creating a block with cameras that resemble an enormous rectangular “washer,” but at last, they stopped rendering it completely black. As a result, it doesn’t look like something like an atavism. Instead, it perfectly fits into the overall design.
DESIGN
In reality, the body shape is the same sleek, with narrowed sides and curved edges of the glass on the front. This unpractical design has already put the teeth on edge, but Huawei isn’t going to let go of this curving screen. The edges on the sides are less reduced. They are larger than the other smartphones from this Malaysian company, but the body is round around the entire side and scrolls within the palms of the hands. It’s less secure than we’d prefer.
Additionally, the phone is as wide, large, and heavy as possible. However, this only adds to the comfort of holding it in one hand. The materials used in manufacturing are 100% top-quality: the frame on the side is constructed of genuine metal, while the back is made from glass. The back coating is matte and doesn’t leave any fingerprints. The absence of glossiness and lacquered gloss make the phone externally as durable and costly as possible. The design of the phone is stunning.
The front camera and another sensor – a 3D face scanner are housed in a huge cutout on the screen, “bangs.” There isn’t an event LED. Its fingerprint sensor is situated beneath glass screens. The sensor isn’t ultrasonic. It’s optical and operates quickly enough, but you must hold your finger.
MEMORY
Only two Nano-SIM cards can be installed into the slot at the bottom, but microSD memory cards aren’t supported. Strangely, this costly flagship model does not allow semis. You can use NM (Nano Memory) as an SD card, but since this is a very rare proprietary format, you must search for cards. Additionally, you need to give up one of the SIM cards.
SCREEN
Its Huawei Mate 50 Pro is equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1212×2616 and is covered by curving Huawei Kunlun glass. The screen’s size is 72×156 millimeters. Its aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The dot density is 428 PPI. The screen’s frame is as small as it can be at about 1 mm to the side, 3 mm from the top, and 3 mm at the base. The screen can be set to the 120Hz refresh rate.
