If you are starting a new LED video display project, it is vital to determine the difference between color temperatures. Yes, it is critical as a designer to consider what color frequency is and how it can affect your campaign. We can see that different things like TV, monitors, video walls have color temperatures. However, this is the same situation in the case of LED screens. Color scheme affects the look and feel of a space and ultimately affect your products. So, let’s learn about this: 

What is the LED display color temperature?

In simple words, color temperature is the characteristic of visible light. For instance, it is light’s appearance of warmth and cold. Colors also have temperatures, and we can measure these with wavelength than the feeling of hot or cold. So, it is vital to consider what color temperature is best to have an ideal display. However, we call it the measurement of “Whiteness.” Though the color temperature isn’t an important topic for a layman, it makes the display appealing

The color scale: 

The first thing that is vital to know that we measure color temperature in Kelvins (K). So, if there is a higher Kelvin temperature, then it results in cooler colors. But if the intensity is low in K, then it results in warmer colors. However, the Kelvins range between 2700K-6500K. It has nothing to do with how hot or cold a bulb feels to the touch. Moreover, there are different ranges of colors, from soft yellow to bright white. There is a distinct tendency of colors. 

  • Warm colors tend to yellow, red, and orange. 
  • Cool colors tend towards blue or greenish. 

However, in between these two, the light appears as crisp and white. It is vital to consider the LED video wall panels colors because it will affect your campaign. 

LED display color temperature scale: 

We mentioned earlier that Kelvin’s temperature ranges between 2700K-6500K. However, in this range, there are different colors that you can use to make the best combination. 

  • Warm white light: It ranges between 2700K-3500K, and it produces a calm and relaxing glow. However, this color usually uses for the bedrooms, living rooms, or other household purposes. 
  • Natural white LED display color: It ranges between 3500K-4500K. It creates a calm and clean color tone that mimics the sunlight. However, it is best for the basement, garages, and other dark places. 
  • Daylight white light: it ranges between 5000K-6000K. However, it is like a crisp and clear white light. It is best for garages, offices, or retail stores. 
  • Cool white light: It ranges between 6000K-7000K. However, this color scheme is best for commercial and industrial usage. Apart from this, you can use this tone when you want to create alertness. 

However, without LED display color temperature, it’s hard to differentiate between two sources. So, this scale of Kelvin’s colors acts as a guiding way to make an impact. 

How can we get all colors at LED display?

It is a bare rule RGB (Red, Green, and blue) is the primary source to make millions of other colors. So, when you add a specific number of colors in RGB, then different shades create. In the end, light is in colors, and the colors are in the light. However, all these things support each other to create the perfect shade.  If you add a measurable number of shades, it can dramatically change a full LED video display. 

Warm white or red color temperature uses: 

  • If you want to create a comfy and relaxed environment 
  • Widely uses in restaurants to enhance appetite. 
  • You can use it in the home-like bedroom or other areas. 
  • Cool white or blue color temperature uses: 
  • If you want to show your products 
  • If you want to brighten up dark and small places 
  • Best to create a contrast effect 

For example, you can use cool colors under the cabinets or make a modern setting. Above all, it’s best to display art and products in this light.
