Prime Drink Honest Review: Everything You Need To Know Before You Buy

Logan Paul and KSI with Prime Energy, Kendall Jenner with 818 Tequila, Blake Lively with Betty Booze, the list goes on.

It’s crazy how these influencers/celebrities have their beverage brands that seem to be running successfully.

As far as the first example goes, there’s been a lot of buzz around the world since the duo dropped their exclusive product in the market.

If you’re someone who’s been actively following Logan Paul since his vlogging days, this post may excite you a lot. Better, it will inform you of the things you can expect before buying it.

This post is all about reviewing Prime Energy and Prime Hydration drinks and rating them on a scale of 10, 10 being the best.

But First, What’s Prime Drink?

Prime prides itself on making this drink with 0% caffeine and is loaded with electrolytes.

Both prime drinks are made with filtered water + coconut water. They also contain sweeteners like sucralose and electrolytes, B vitamins, and branch-chain amino acids. Except, Prime energy drink does contain caffeine.

And when it comes to marketing a sports drink, people may not think of it in a way how Prime has become fast, and to say, an almost unprecedented victory in the history of sports drinks.

The drink is so popular that it is frequently offered for far more than the regular price, even £20 per bottle at one Dunelm store in Durham. Due to high demand, supermarkets such as Asda and Aldi have resorted to limiting the number of people who may buy.

However, because of the social media following of its two co-founders, KSI and Logan Paul, demand for the drink has skyrocketed, particularly among younger customers.

Rating Prime Hydration & Prime Energy

There’s no doubt that Prime Drink NZ has been touted and rated as overall pleasant and delightful, making them preferable to ordinary water, particularly when exercising.

However, if you wish to drink Prime instead of a soft drink, it depends on how frequently you do so. Be advised that Prime beverages include artificial sweeteners, which have been associated with certain detrimental health effects, particularly when used often.

Keep in mind that Prime Energy has a high caffeine content, which may not be appropriate for persons who are sensitive to caffeine.

Rating the taste, unlike a lot of energy drink options out there, it has no aftertaste. Even RedBull or Gatorade have a strange aftertaste, but it’s not the case with these, and we got to give it to them on this one.

Taste-wise, we think Prime drink flavours are pretty smooth and clean; no aftertaste, appropriate amount of fizz and just the right notes. Overall, these are pretty good. We would give these a 7.5 out of 10.

Popular Flavours in Prime Drink

When it comes to the flavour profile, the brand has kept it simple, but not boring. The taste is still unique and makes you want to go for another round.

Prime Hydration drink has 6 assorted flavours, each named as Lemon Lime, Tropical Punch, Blue Raspberry, Lemonade, Ice Pop, Metamoon & Strawberry Watermelon.

Now, when it comes to Ice Pop, a user from a forum did say that the name was certainly not misleading and gave it a 9.5/10. This drink is a refreshing blend of Cherry, Lime, and Blue Raspberry.

Another in-demand flavour, that’s the Tropical Punch will definitely give you some tropical vibes, thanks to the sweet notes of pineapple and orange. A tangy yet sweet combination like this is hard to get a hold of, and it does capture the summer.

Overall, we’d say that the team of Prime Drinks has done a great job on this one.

Conclusion: Is Prime Hydration Worth it?

Developed by sensational YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul, Prime drinks are gaining quite the reputation as energy and hydration beverages not just in NZ but across the world. The brand saw the light of the day in 2022 and since then, it’s either been frequently out-of-stock or resold at a price 10 times higher than the original cost, amounting to $20 a piece!

And if that wasn’t enough, some supermarkets have placed a limit on how many bottles consumers could buy at once.

So, would you buy it or would you not? It depends. If buying for your exercise routine, the best way to keep hydrated is to stick with water, seriously.

Now, Prime Hydration provides some benefits post exercise as it’s fortified with electrolytes and BCAAs, which can help with recovery, but the nutritional information on the energy drink says otherwise.

Prime and other energy drinks NZ are high in either sugars or artificial sweeteners, which we are recommended to lower our intake of, for various health reasons.
