2019 marks a year of it’s submersible for Panerai watches. The big rotating bezel drive with that crown guard you cannot miss was a central star of the brand’s SR edge Collection which is now online. In its own right there’s also an increased focus on experiential trip base the limited editions which are really interesting and I think smart today that I’ve picked out 5 watches that showcase the new Panerai Watches is all about.
Panerai Submersible Carbotech 42mm PAM 960:
First up is the PAM 960; There are things very interesting about this watch, Semi skeletonized handset which common across the submersible one, the carbon case, which contrasts with that bright blue and reminiscent of the Oakley logo. The loom isn’t solid blocks, by the way, not painted! which is a nice sophisticated touch.
Most interestingly for me is a 42-millimetre case size, that goes to show that Panerai has realized that the very big is not always better now.
Panerai Luminor Submersible 42mm PAM 959:
Next up there’s this fresh-faced blue and grey submersible PAM 959. It might not have the high-tech materials of some of the others in the line, it does have a really interesting textured matte grey dial which is something again new for the brand and a really cool direction it also really goes well with a playful ceramic vessel and it’s just a cracking entry into the submersible family.
Panerai Submersible BMG-TECH PAM 799 Watch:
Now its PAM 799; Which I think will be a big hit because it combines two of panelized most innovative materials in a very novel take on to turn the bezel is obviously Carver tech but the case is being GTECH panelized new hero metallic alloy all told I think panelized 2019 collection is really fresh take on a familiar shape.
Panerai Submersible Mike Horn Edition PAM 984:
Panerai Luna Rossa Challenger Submersible PAM 1039 Watch:
For 2019 Panerai is signing on as a sponsor to Luna Rossa, the Challenger of record for the 36th America’s Cup. You can see the image of the vessel on the case back and the case itself features the titanium case back.

It is a Dual time; it comes on a full diving style strap oversized trapezoidal pinball 47 millimetres in carbo tech with sail reclaimed material diamonds.
Panerai Submersible Marina Militare Carbotech PAM 961:
The Panerai PM 961 has 33 pieces with olive drab dial accents and olive drab strap. This timepiece is a special watch that brings with it a diving experience, you will see “Mandos sub-aqua incursion” written on the back. That exact unit will take you on a diving experience with the watch.

This Panerai PAM 983 is a 15 piece limited edition which features black and titanium case and a ceramic bezel insert. It has a flyback chronograph and calibre 9100, which also features a zero reset second so you can perfectly hack and align it to the time.
It also has a decorative dial that’s a bleed green at the centre and wonderfully rusticated grained texture. It fades to black at its outer circumference and green hash marks.
The case back features the image of Guillaume Nery, world-record-setting 126-meter free diver and here’s the cool thing you actually get to go to French Polynesia and dive with the man himself if you buy one of these 15 piece limited series watches.
