Ways how technology turns against you and your business

Ever since the world has been changing due to globalisation, business techniques etc, and since coronavirus has become an inseparable part of our lives, as of now, masks, sanitisers have also become a part of life, even digital media and technology has become an important organ. We have seen huge changes in our lives.

Technology has changed the form of carrying out the business opportunities in a good way but, at the same time, it has created a negative influence among us. We tend to be attached towards the screen all along, so much so that we have forgotten to be present in the real-life world. Technology has undoubtedly given huge wings to us and our businesses as well, but it may or is also turning against the same. But how? Here’s how technology has impacted our businesses and us as humans.

Makes you work on toes 24X7

Technology and digital media have cut out a specific office timings scenario. The digital platform is available all the time of the day; therefore, the services are also not limited to a specific set of the time slot. When the media was initially in business, the newspapers used to get printed in the night time only, which means that people worked for a specific time only.

In Print media organisations, you have to submit the stories on time so that they designed and sent for printing, but now with newspapers turned into News websites, the news is published when they happen, even if it means in the middle of the night. Technology makes it this way, no matter what sort of business you own, digital media and technology make you work for the whole day.

Ride or Die

With everything going online, the business has rather become a ride or die situation. Make it happen or your business fails to flourish. Either manage to make your work more effective or your business will suffer. India is the second most populated country and for a fact, India is a country that contains more of youth and the youth are more active towards technology, therefore, most of your potential customers, one would be attracted from there only. Therefore, if you can do the needful then your business will reach the skies.

Decreased downtime

Technology gave rise to working 24X7 which has removed the idea of vacation from an individuals’ dairy. It seems that the downtime is also a thing of the past only. Working on laptops, computers or tablets have made our access to emails, messages all the time which has removed the term downtime to revive systems or individuals.

However, due to the scenarios, we have become used to checking the messages every once in a while even if you want to get away from the thing so badly.

Dependency on technology or machines

Screens, screens, screens everywhere, whether it is a computer screen, laptop screen, smartphone screen, or tablet screen. All your work depends upon the machines and devices. Likewise the above point, there is no downtime left for the individuals to recuperate. Individuals, businesses, content writers, graphic designers are all dependent on technological advancements only to carry out their works.

Words don’t have feelings

Your words, your presentation would decide how the customers would react to your services. Words don’t tell how you felt when you typed them. You might have typed it emotionally, but people might think that you are too sarcastic or rude. This way technology turns customers against you are your business. Intentionally, we do not do it but we cannot explain this to the other people every time. Therefore, words may also help in negatively impacting our businesses.

You have foreign competitors

You might be a small business whose office is set in a remote location where there is merely any business in competition with you but through digital media platform, you have competed with all the business around even if they are set up internationally, but the business, services, potential audiences are similar. This way also, technology makes you stand on toes to compete with them.
