If you are using any program or file or a folder on a regular basis, then you can assign a direct keyboard shortcut key to open that file/folder instantly. This is possible in Windows. Many people always works on a specific file or folder on their PC. This trick may be very useful for them. This trick works for any type Files, Folders, Programs, Apps, Software's etc. You can open them directly through the assigned shortcut keys.
Assign shortcut key to regularly used File, Folders
This trick is very simple and straight forward. Firstly select that File, Folder or Software to which you want assign a shortcut key. Right click on that and click on send to option. And Click on Desktop(create shortcut) option. Now close everything and go to desktop, here you will find the shortcut to that file/folder. Right click on that shortcut it and click on the text box in front of the option "Shortcut key". Now press any desired shortcut.
The shortcut must be of three key combined. So you cannot set a two key shortcut. Just press any number key or any alphabet key on keyboard and by default you will be assigned a shortcut as "CTRL + Alt + YourPressedKey". For example - After clicking the text box if I press the alphabet key "F" then my shortcut to open that file/folder will be "CTRL + Alt + F". After assigning the shortcut key, click on Apply and OK button. Sometime it may ask Administrator permission to continue. Image below shows the Steps to assign shortcut key to regularly used folder.
You can assign as many shortcut as you want. If there is any shortcut already on your PC(other than the desktop) there you can assign Shortcut key to that also. You can also move that shortcut to other place from desktop. Now press the assigned shortcut keys and open the desired folder and files easily.
